Hydrotherapy, also known as Aquatic Physical Therapy is a type of Physiotherapy that includes performing rehabilitative and fitness exercises in warm water. It has a range of benefits and is run in small group classes. The combined effect of the buoyancy and resistance of the water, makes it effective. Often people find they can do exercises they are unable to do on land. The reduced weight bearing means people can begin safe loading after surgery helping their muscles strengthen and preventing deconditioning. Most needs and requirements can be met through hydrotherapy.
